What to Expect
Becoming a patient here starts with a short checklist and a phone call, not a waiting room.
THE PROCESS
How It Works
01
Take the symptom checklist.
Two minutes online. It tells us what you are experiencing before we ever speak.
02
We call you.
Dr. Elbourne or a member of our team discusses your symptoms and explains which labs he would order and why.
03
You decide
If you want to move forward, we send a secure link to pay for your labs and initial consultation.
04
Your first visit
We review your results together, in detail, without rushing.
05
Your plan begins
An individualized treatment plan, with ongoing monitoring and adjustment over time.
The checklist takes about two minutes. It is not a diagnosis. It helps Dr. Elbourne understand your symptoms and whether lab evaluation makes sense for you, and our office will call you to talk through the next step.

WHY WE ARE A CASH PAY PRACTICE
Treating the Patient, Not the Coverage.
This is less about money than it sounds. Insurance coverage determines what a physician is permitted to do: how long a visit can run, which laboratory work is approved, which therapies are considered eligible, and how soon a patient may be seen again. Those are administrative decisions applied to clinical situations.
Working outside that system means the evaluation is as complete as the situation warrants and the plan is built around you. If a fuller panel is indicated, it is ordered. If a plan should be adjusted in six weeks instead of six months, it is.
We are direct about cost, we discuss it before anything is ordered, and we are glad to talk it through with you .
WHAT YOU PAY FOR
Four Things, Plainly
Laboratory testing
A comprehensive panel selected for your symptoms and history, drawn before your first visit so there is something real to discuss. Labs are also used to monitor your individualized therapy plan
Initial consultation
An unhurried visit with your physician to review results, discuss options, and decide together what makes sense.
Treatment
The therapy itself, whether that is pellets, another delivery method, medication, supplementation, or a combination.
Ongoing follow-up
Recheck visits and repeat testing at appropriate intervals so the plan can be adjusted as you respond.
We do not file insurance. We are happy to discuss cost with you directly.
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before You Begin
COMMON QUESTIONS
Before You Begin
-
Cost depends on your laboratory panel and the treatment your physician recommends. We are happy to discuss it directly before you commit to anything, and nothing is ordered without your agreement.
-
No. We are a cash pay practice. Some patients submit receipts to a health savings or flexible spending account, and we can provide documentation for that.
-
It varies by therapy and by person. Many patients notice changes in energy and sleep first, with other changes following over subsequent weeks. Follow-up testing tells us whether the plan is working as intended.
-
Most patients notice changes in energy and sleep before changes in body composition. Follow-up testing and a recheck visit confirm whether the plan is doing what it should.
-
Yes. Dr. Elbourne's recommended therapy involves restoring hormone balance using biodentical hormones derived from plant sources. These hormones are identical to what our bodies produce prior to menopause or andropause.
-
Then we say so. If evaluation points somewhere other than hormone therapy, your physician will tell you that and, where appropriate, help direct you toward the right care.
-
Typically a recheck after therapy begins, then at regular intervals based on your treatment and how you are responding.
